Quarter sawn table

I designed this table around the Spring of 2015. I just love how it came out :)

If a tree was a cow, "quarter sawn" wood from that tree would be the "ribeye" of the cow. one of the most expensive cuts you can get from the tree trunk, because you end up generating a lot of wasted wood, and because the process of getting the wood is more complicated than that for flat sawn wood. The result is that you will notice the grain of the wood is made up of very thin lines running parallel to each other.

I decided to show that as the main feature for the table, without any other distractions - just salt and pepper on the steak you might say :) Simple...
